Seattle is in Washington, in the Pacific Northwest, where winters are mild and wet, summers are dry and pleasant, and outdoor recreation drives a lot of local business; hours change little through the year. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Seattle follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Iconic spot in Seattle housing their market. Wonderful place where you can buy fresh seafood, flowers, produce, and so much more and featuring a number of great eateries. Can get very crowded especially on weekends but worth a visit and easy walk from the waterfront.

Pike Place Fish Market was one of the most memorable stops during our family trip to Seattle. We visited Pike Place Market early in the morning, which made a big difference. The area was much easier to enjoy before the crowds picked up, and we were able to watch them throw the fish. It was one of those classic Seattle moments that feels touristy in the best way, and our 3-year-old daughter remembered it afterward. I also ordered the crab cocktail, which was fresh and delicious. It was $24, so not cheap, but it felt in line with Pike Place pricing and was a fun seafood treat while walking around the market. Ordering was quick and easy too. This is definitely worth stopping by if you are visiting Pike Place for the first time. Even if you are not buying fish to take home, watching the fish throwing and seeing the market energy in person is a big part of the experience. For families with young kids, I would recommend going earlier in the day so it is easier to stand, watch, and move around comfortably.

I went to the pike place fish market this past weekend for the first time. It was a great experience. It was much larger than I had anticipated. They had so many shops and restaurants. Endless amounts of fish and a lot of it was pretty expensive. The smells, sights and people were a lot to take in. The views of the sound were great too. Highly recommended as a place to visit while in Seattle. You could spend the better part of a day there exploring.

This is the quintessential Pike Place experience! They have huge, beautiful-looking fresh fish and fresh oysters on display, and of course, the famous fish throwing. The staff is so engaging to watch as they work, and they were incredibly friendly when answering all of our questions. We were completely fascinated just standing there and could have easily watched them for an hour. It's also great that they offer shipments home in case you can't take and cook what you buy right away. A must-visit when you are in Seattle!

Absolutely a 5 star experience. Pike Place Fish Market is one of the most fun and energetic places to visit in Seattle. The atmosphere is amazing, and watching the staff throw fish across the market is such a great experience. It makes the whole place feel lively, unique, and entertaining. The workers were friendly, welcoming, and clearly enjoyed what they do. The seafood looked incredibly fresh, and the market itself had so much character and history. Even if you are not buying seafood, it is still worth visiting just to experience the energy and tradition of the place. It really feels like one of the iconic spots in Seattle. Great experience overall and definitely a must visit if you are in the area.
